ABSTRACT

As one of the pathogenic mechanisms contained in The Inner Canon of Yellow Emperor (《黄帝内经》), “disease with latent pathogen induced by a new pathogen” means that the induced new pathogen resulted to a combination of the latent previous pathogen and the new pathogen, which caused the disease. Based on this, it is believed that the change of “nodule-cancer transformation” of pulmonary nodules is actually based on the deficiency of original qi, and the new pathogen induces the latent pathogens like phlegm coagulation, qi stagnation, blood stasis, toxicity, so healthy qi can not drive the pathogens out, and the long-time detention generated into cancerous turbidity, and deve-loped into cancerous tumour at the end. Therefore, based on the three-stage treatment of unformed cancer, dense cancerous toxin, and developed cancer, the clinical practice applied six methods of clearing, expelling, dissipating, tonifying, harmonizing, and transforming, taking into account both the manifestation and root cause, moving the treatment window of pulmonary nodules forward, attacking the pathogens when the toxin was not yet overbearing, supporting the healthy qi before declining, delaying the process of nodules-cancer transformation, and providing ideas for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary nodules “nodule-cancer transformation” in traditional Chinese medicine.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of massage combined with wearing personalized myopia-lens on the prevention and control of children myopia based on the theory of treating disease before its onset. Methods A total of 117 non-myopia students (involving with 234 eyes)aged 7-8 years old were divided into three groups. Group A was treated with massage combined with wearing personalized myopia-lens,group B was treated with wearing personalized myopia-lens, and group C had no any treatment. Eyesight examination was performed for the 3 groups every 6 months in the following 6 continuous years. Six years later, the incidence of myopia, diopter and eye axis difference were compared among the 3 groups. Results (1)The incidence of myopia in group A, B and C was 24.3%,32.1%,56.3% respectively. The incidence of group A and B was lower than that of group C (P < 0.05), and group A showed a decreasing trend of incidence of myopia as compared with group B (P >0.05).(2)The diopter difference of group A,B,C in the 6 years was(-0.5642 ± 0.1759)D,(-1.3156 ± 0.7267) D,(-2.4125 ± 1.4842) D respectively, and the differences between group A and B, and those between group A and C were statistically significant (P < 0.01). The axial growth in group A,B and C in the 6 years was (1.1577 ± 0.3332)mm,(1.2955 ± 0.4011)mm,(1.5545 ± 0.6067) mm respectively, and the differences between group A and B,and those between group A and C were statistically significant (P < 0.01). Conclusion The myopia comprehensive therapy of massage combined with wearing personalized myopia-lens is effective on preventing the occurrence of myopia and reducing the incidence of myopia.

ABSTRACT

Objective] To summarize the clinical key points of acupoint sticking therapy in the application of treating disease before its onset. [Method] From the treatment timing, treatment principle, acupoint selection to expound the academic perspective and clinical experience of our department in the application of acupoint sticking therapy by consulting the ancient literature and summarizing clinical practice. [Result] Through the correct selection of treatment timing for acupoint sticking therapy, which is mainly used in summer, secondly used in winter, and focusing on tonifying Yang-qi, and point selection by pattern identification, paying attention to the accumulation of curative effect, this therapy has good curative effect in the treating disease before its onset.[Conclusion] Nowadays, there are more and more sub-health people. Since acupoint sticking therapy has advantages of“easy, convenient, cheap, uesful”and safe, it is a good therapy to apply for treating disease before its onset.
